I've been taking daily walks in the woods. Today, I took steps while repeating my mantra, 'this is enough.' I want to feel completely happy and fulfilled by the wonder of nature. So that's what I told myself.
It can feel silly at first-talking to yourself like a five year old. But our emotional self control is stuck in infancy and it takes a lot of positive self talk to correct our negative patterns. By the time I got out of the trees, I was smiling effortlessly.

Mindful walking. I'm switching my awareness from the monkey mind into my power core. I engage everything below my bellybutton to work for me.
Notice how it is easier for my shoulders to relax down my backbody, and my neck rest back over my spine. I feel my body glide over the Earth. Walking is effortless when I am mindful of my core. Today I dedicate my joy to raindrops. Let's call them, Joydrops. I was out running errands and saw the sky turning grey in my rearview mirror. But I had no fear. I kept my eyes forward and the clouds only burst when I was safely inside. From this vantage point, I could enjoy the serene beauty of rain.
