Today was pretty big for me. One of those experiences where something very sublime is captured in a short phrase that means everything and nothing at once.
Where I'm from is still inside me- -and I'm not talking about the red clay of Georgia ;) On a strictly scientific level, yes, my dna and cells are made in the image of my parents. My parent's cells and dna are the basis of my whole being. On a spiritual level, if I believe I am stardust, then I am still stardust. I am a star. If I believe I was made in the image of God, God is still inside me as the basis of my whole being. Modern science has enabled us to visualize what dna looks like, but what does the realm of God look like? What do stars look like to other stars? I could tell you what I saw when I looked inside myself, but it would not serve your path. All you need to hear is that by looking within, you can see where you've been. Maybe that means tracking your ancestors to Africa or Sirius. However deep you go, know that you are not alone on the path of returning to source.

A Place in Nature
It's Monday. This morning, before I went to work, I went to my place in nature. I am able to sit and be present with myself. It is quiet enough for me to listen to my intuition. I am serene enough to be patient with myself. I speak with the Earth. My Saturday was laid back, an easy path to Joy. I was spending the afternoon at the home of a friend when he had to attend to some business and left me to entertain myself. Being in unfamiliar territory, I had to improvise some pleasure. Fortunately, the backyard was lushly landscaped and open for my perusing. The garden had been neglected for some months. On my first walkthrough, I just observed the variety of plants and noticed the themes of citrus and roses. It's January and the plants need help shedding last year's baggage as much as we humans do. I found some shears and got to work deadheading flower bushes, thinning fruit tree limbs, and taming the wild vines. I unearthed gnomes and fairies from piles of leaves and gave them new stages to delight us with painted grins. The final circuit through the garden reaped what fruit could be found in the cold new year's overcast sky: 3 limes, 1 pomegranate, and one coral rose. Coastal climates are always home for me :) In barely thirty minutes of activity, I felt rejuvenated myself, and proud to be a caregiver to the garden. Cecelia can't take care of her garden any longer. In abandoning it, there is motivation to replicate it-sharing cuttings with all the friends and kin. If we can't care for our family members any longer, we can care for plants, and cultivate the same feelings of unconditional love. My own garden is a seasonal vegetable bed near the front door. After summer tomatoes, I transplanted 3 kinds of kale. I'm trying an experiment of talking to my kale plants daily. They encourage me in gentle and familiar ways like only a mother could. I look to them for serious guidance, and in return am shown respect and clarity. INTENTION a clear mind to taste the bliss of stillness in the void of everything
I. GROUNDING Lite seated movement: spinal flexing, spinal twisting, forward fold. II. CENTERING Mind clearing in two breaths; gather thoughts and distractions outside of your body, then ground awareness into your heart. III. AWARENESS Check the Oil: look in your vessel, what is your energy level? IV. THEME/MUDRA ethereal layers of the Earth V. SIlLENCE rainbow bridge chakra balance, then opening up to the entire universe The Earth rests in the South. As a source of infinite abundance ground your being into her foundation.
To your West, the water flows towards the ocean. Release your burdens to the unifying power of the sea. Now you are open to receive the knowledge of the winds of the North. As day breaks the night, you are born again, a phoenix rising from the flames in the East. Choose the element that you need to work with and sit with it in your heart. Aho! Theme: Clarity.
Bring a question into your Heart <3 Visualization: The Forest with all the answers. The trees and your feet are connected to the Earth. Ask for any Elemental guides to join you. You are in Peace. Seated at the shoreline of a lake, your lower chakras flow with Water. Ask the Water for clarity. You feel Loved. A river takes you to a new shoreline, the trees open your heart <3, your upper chakras dance with Air. Ask the Air for clarity. You are Clear. Sunlight kisses your crown, your being is a channel of the divine. Ask your Spirit's Fire for clarity. You are Infinite. Question: What is Intuition?
-A friend recently shared his name for it: God Compass First exercise: Sit for 2 minutes and ask for a mantra to help build your Intuition. Second Exercise: Say that mantra 108 times. Meditation: Use your Intuition to ask for clarity on something you need. -I received a blue heart, and the message to make more heart connections. Guest leader, Abhi, took us on a journey of peeling away layers of consciousness and releasing our ego-bodies. I love the Kundalini breathing exercises we practice to loosen up; churning and pulsing. Then we focused on heightening one sense. Then isolated points of awareness. The sky fell dark while we were sitting. When I opened my eyes, the trees were silhouettes against a quickly deepening sky.
We meditated in 3 parts. 5 minutes-go! no instruction. relax, discuss-how did it feel? Next is ten minutes of crystal center guide. Visualize your favorite shape-in a light filled crystal-between your naval and your heart. This is your light. Let it shine. Final session is 15 minutes. Now imagine that every one of your cells is composed of one of your light crystals. Feel your light shine. Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine. |
